Wordle Helper

In case it has inexplicably passed you by the internet is currently addicted to the game Wordle. Essentially a cross between Boggle and Mastermind; you iteratively guess a 5 letter word, receiving feedback after each guess about which letters are present but not in the right position, present in the correct position, or just plain wrong.

After playing this daily game for a while I was challenged by my colleague and friend Josh to also compete on the Spanish language version of the game. My Spanish is not good enough to spontaneously think of word suggestions even after guessing some correct letters. Now Josh may have his own motivations, but this problem compelled us to collaborate in creating a Worlde Helper tool to narrow down the list of potential words. The primary objectives for myself being to learn some more Spanish words, get better at Wordle in either language, and also learn some jquery and other technical solutions along the way.

What we came up with is a basic helper tool that runs competely on the client side. It uses Jquery, HTML & CSS and is hosted on Cloudflare. Deployment in Cloudflare uses Cloudflare Workers, Wrangler and GitHub actions to publish changes checked-in to the main branch.
